Seatly: Seating Chart Planner
Last updated: July 31, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how the Seatly: Seating Chart Planner app (the «App»), developed by Marcos Ceresoli, handles its users' information.
1. Information we collect
The App does not collect, store or transmit personally identifiable data to us or to any server of ours. It requires no registration or sign-in, and it works without an internet connection.
Through the integrated third-party services (see section 4), usage data may be collected automatically, such as device information and advertising data.
2. Guest data you enter
To build a seating chart, the App lets you enter information about your events and your guests: names, table assignments, tags and, optionally, dietary or accessibility requirements (for example vegetarian, celiac, reduced mobility or high chair).
All of that information is stored exclusively on your device, in a local database. It is never sent to us, it is not uploaded to any server and it is not shared with third parties: the App has no backend of its own. If you delete the App, that data is deleted with it.
Because you may be entering information about other people, we recommend you enter only what you need for the seating chart and that you handle it responsibly.
3. Exports and printing
The App can generate PDF files with your guest list or seating chart, and can import lists from files you choose. Those files are created and read on your own device, using the system's file and printing dialogs. The App does not send them anywhere: what you then do with the file (share it, print it, save it to the cloud) is entirely under your control and governed by the service you choose.
4. Third-party services
The App uses the following third-party services that may collect information:
- Google AdMob — advertising provider. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data for advertising purposes, in accordance with its own privacy policy. You can review it at policies.google.com/privacy.
- Apple — the App may ask you to rate it through Apple's standard review prompt. That interaction happens within the App Store and is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
These services never receive the guest data described in section 2.
5. Ads and advertising data
The App displays ads through Google AdMob. Ads may be personalized or non-personalized depending on the user's preferences and region. On iOS devices, the App requests advertising tracking permission (App Tracking Transparency, ATT) before showing personalized ads; if you decline, you will still see ads, but non-personalized ones.
Rewarded ads are optional: you can always decline to watch them, and doing so does not restrict your normal use of the App.
6. App permissions
The App requests only the minimum necessary permissions:
- Internet access — required exclusively to load ads.
- Access to files you explicitly select — only when you choose to import or export a list.
The App does not request access to the camera, microphone, contacts or location.
7. Children's privacy
The App is intended for adults organising events. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you notice that a minor has provided personal data, contact us so we can delete it.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Changes will be published on this same page with the update date. We recommend reviewing it periodically.
