Custom CV — Optimize your resume

Last updated: August 20, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how the Custom CV — Optimize your resume app (the «App»), developed by Marcos Ceresoli, handles its users' information. Unlike other apps in the portfolio, Custom CV does require an account and does process the content you upload — that is what allows it to analyze your resume and generate an optimized version. This policy explains exactly what happens with that information.

1. Your account

To use the App you need to create an account with your email address and a password. Authentication is handled by Supabase, our backend provider: your password is stored encrypted on Supabase's side and we never see it or store it in plain text.

The only data associated with your account is your email address and, if you fill it in, your name. We do not ask for a phone number, address, ID document or payment details.

2. The resume and job posts you upload

When you upload a resume or a job post (as a file, as a link, or by pasting the text), that content is stored in your private space within the App so it can be analyzed, so the optimized version can be generated, and so your history can be shown to you. Specifically, we store:

  • The resume file you uploaded and the optimized resume the App generates.
  • The result of each analysis: ATS score before and after, keywords found and missing, detected seniority level and industry, and a reference to the job post used (file name, link, or the beginning of the text you pasted).

Your resume is yours and only you can see it. Access is restricted at the database and storage level by rules that tie every file and every analysis to your user identifier: no other account can read them. We do not sell, rent or share your resume with recruiters, companies, advertisers or any third party.

Keep in mind that a resume usually contains personal data about you and sometimes about others (for example, professional references). Upload only what you need for the analysis.

3. AI processing

The ATS analysis and the generation of the optimized resume are performed by a language model. To do that, the text of your resume and of the job post is sent to whichever AI provider the App has active, which may be Azure OpenAI (Microsoft) or Anthropic. The request is made from our server, not from your device, and only at the moment you ask for an analysis or a generation.

These providers process the content in order to return the result, and handle it under their own enterprise usage policies, which do not include training models on data sent through the API. You can review their policies at privacy.microsoft.com and anthropic.com/legal/privacy.

For each call we log technical usage data — which function was used, which provider and model responded, and how many tokens it cost — in order to control the cost of the service. That log does not include the content of your resume.

4. Where your data is stored

The database and the files are hosted on Supabase, in its South America region (São Paulo, Brazil). The AI providers described in section 3 may process the content in other jurisdictions. By using the App you accept that international transfer, which is necessary to provide the service. You can review Supabase's policy at supabase.com/privacy.

5. Advertising

The App displays ads through Google AdMob (banners and interstitials). AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data for advertising and measurement purposes, in accordance with its own policy, available at policies.google.com/privacy.

On iOS, the App requests advertising tracking permission (App Tracking Transparency) before showing personalized ads. If you decline, you will still see ads, but non-personalized ones, and nothing else about your use of the App changes.

Advertisers never receive your resume or the content of your analyses. The advertising system and the resume analysis system are separate.

6. Exporting and sharing

The App can export your optimized resume as a PDF or as a text document. Those files are generated for you and are shared or saved through the operating system's own dialogs. What you do with the file afterwards — sending it, printing it, uploading it to another service — is under your control and governed by the service you choose.

7. Retention and account deletion

We keep your account, your files and your analysis history for as long as you keep the account active, so that you can go back to them.

You can delete your account from within the App. Doing so permanently erases your profile, all of your analyses and the associated resume files — both the ones you uploaded and the generated ones; the deletion cascades and is not reversible. You can also request deletion by writing to mceresoli@gmail.com from the address you registered with.

8. Your rights

You can access and download your data from the App, correct your name and email, and delete your account and all its content at any time. If you need to exercise any other right over your personal data, write to us at mceresoli@gmail.com.

9. App permissions

The App requests only the minimum necessary permissions:

  • Internet access — required for your account, the resume analysis and loading ads.
  • Access to the files you explicitly select — only when you choose to upload a resume or a job post.

The App does not request access to the camera, microphone, contacts or location.

10. Children's privacy

The App is intended for people looking for a job. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you notice that a minor has provided personal data, contact us so we can delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Changes will be published on this same page with the update date. We recommend reviewing it periodically.

12. Contact

If you have questions or comments about this policy, you can contact us at mceresoli@gmail.com.
